Above ground (Superstructure)

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL WALLS

Depending on the thermal performance and compressive strength etc. required from the wall a wide range of Interfuse blocks can be used on the external and internal leaf of the cavity wall, party walls and partition walls.

Concrete Blocks in Outer Leaf Walls

The use of our dense and lightweight blocks are suited for the construction of outer leaf walls, where rendering, cladding or tiling is to be used. They are capable of accepting a wide range of fixings and finishes and are available in various strengths and weights.

Concrete Blocks on Inner Leaf Walls

There are many ways to build cavity walls so they meet the required performance levels for acoustic and thermal insulation. The inner leaf is usually loadbearing and compressive strength and dry shrinkage are important factors met by using Interfuse blocks.

Block walling helps to minimise movement reducing the risk of shrinkage and cracking, adding sound reduction and offering good fire protection.

BEAM AND BLOCK FLOORS

Interlyte, Intercrete and Ultra & Optilyte blocks have been tested and approved for beam and block floors. Their dimensional accuracy and good flexural strength are ideal for T-beam construction. Certain specifications are put in place by the floor beam manufacturer which will designate which Interfuse block is appropriate for a particular contract.
